Modern Bathroom BE
Love this project. This house was built in the 70’s and some of the spaces were completely departmentalized. This master bathroom was no exception. Our client wanted to have different things from creating a more modern look, but also with a Masculine feeling to it. He wanted to add light and take advantage of his beautiful mountain views, privatize toilet area, create a more organized closet space and incorporated into the bathroom and have a larger shower. The design process was fun, we needed to get out of our comfortable zone and add windows, create a shower that added transparency, size and work with materials that were going to flow with the existing house tile.

About the closet:
This closet is custom cabinetry. We design this closet adding the central part with a tall cabinetry with large mirrors. This cabinet help in opening the space and added light and the perception of a bigger space. We work hand to hand with our client and we went through a detailed organizational plan to design a closet that will have a space for all his needs.
The Cabinetry was made with Alder wood stain in a semitransparent black stain. This adds an organic look to the wood and appreciates the wood grain undertones under the dark color. The Door style we selected is a shaker with a very attractive border on the vanity fronts.

Shower Materials
The materials we used in this bathroom were Vetri Acqua 2’x12” from our online collection, Zebrino 12”x24” calacatta, and CS-SKYLINE HEX 2 X 2 MESH. You can find these products in our online shop.
Creating an Open Space in Small Bathrooms
In order to integrate the shower in to an opened space, we built 2 pony walls with same height as the vanity. The countertop extends all the way to the pony wall creating a seamless union between the vanity and the shower. We also reverse a barn door and created a private space for the toilet.
